InsiteVR builds immersive communication software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry to improve project delivery and reduce errors. Like a GoToMeeting™ for VR, InsiteVR enables AEC project teams to review their 3D models together in virtual reality to identify and resolve issues. Traditionally a combination of tools like Navisworks and screensharing is used to review models from different disciplines, but this often leads to wasted hours and miscommunication that can cause projects to go over budget. Instead of waiting until construction walkthroughs to find issues, InsiteVR customers can identify and address issues months in advance while they’re still virtual and easy to update. InsiteVR syncs with models from Autodesk BIM 360 or can be imported via plugins in Navisworks, Revit, or Sketchup. They support almost all commercially available virtual reality headsets with a focus on standalone virtual reality headsets like the Oculus Go and Oculus Quest. At the end of a meeting InsiteVR will generate an issue report in PDF format or sync your notes back to BIM 360. Notes can be created in VR in many ways, but notably, they offer automatic speech-to-text transcription, making it easy tag issues with detailed notes while in a VR headset.
